Utilization Review

Our utilization review services are performed by a licensed registered nurse, knowledgeable in the appropriate application of workers' compensation fee schedules and usual customary databases. Our licensed registered nurses verify the appropriateness of the medical procedures being performed and assure that the services are performed in the most cost effective environment. All progress is monitored throughout the process. Midlands has Medical Bill Review Specialists ready to create an explanation of benefits. We also offer access to discounts through contracts established with medical providers or with preferred provider organizations and managed care organizations.  These services function collectively to promote quality health care while managing medical costs for our customers.
